At the other end of design spectrum, lies a universe of numbers and beaurocracy, a world that is so odd for many designers, but a paradise for a person like Detlef.

He actually does more than doing paperworks and counting numbers, such as making sure that we are not running out of Licorice candy in the atelier.

Adhimiharja’s younger brother. With his astute problem-solving skill, Prama, is the perfect bridge between the artisan and the designer, me. We are forever grateful for the fact that he is willing to take the time to help us out between his buzy schedules of online warfare and virtual romance.

Ibu Srie
Ibu Srie

This is Ibu Srie, Adhimiharja’s mother. His first contact with fashion design was, of course, because of her. At the moment, she teaches women from her neighborhood on clothes making. Like every mother, helping her children to advance is unquestionable.

By the way, she loves to cook and is a great one.

Teh Lisna

Teh Lisna, a mother and a wife to my brother, Teguh. Adhimiharja didn't know that she is a seamstress. Once he knew, he asked her whether she would sew some of his designs. To his surprise, she agreed.

Elsa
Elsa

No, she did not play in that animation film, but she does love watching it and play as if she was the real princess.

When she must not sing and save the world, she would sit calmly and let her creative mind works its magic creating something beautiful.

Kang Raka
Kang Raka

A gentle soul who has the community's interest at heart, that is why he set up this embroidery studio - Raka Bordir. He often talks about wanting to bring more people to the project to get the fair wage that he's enjoying.

Mang Cecep
Mang Cecep

He is older than everyone in the group, and a natural leader. He wants to inspire his fellow artisans to take pride in their skills and motivates them to take charge of their own fates. He is also working at Raka Bordir.

Ibay. He always looks at the brighter side of life. Ibay never blamed anyone else for his problems. Being a part of our project has given him a new sense of purpose. He feels good about the honest buck he earns after completing his fine embroidery at Raka Bordir.

Doni. He works closely with Kang Raka. Quite the extrovert, he can be heard talking loudly and singing Dangdut number while at work. But when it comes to fine embroidery, he means business. He is also not shy about asking people's opinion of his products in order to improve it.

An embroidery master. With his trained hands, a beautiful creation is made by using a manual embroidery machine. He owns a small embroidery studio on a busy side street, where he works and deals directly with the customers.

Kang Mudin

In a densely populated neighborhood of Bandung, an embroidery master, Kang Mudin, is working diligently with his manual embroidery machine. In many occasion, a local language is used to make him easier to understand how one design should be made.

When it comes to production, you can count on her. Her knowledge in tailoring is impeccable.

She speaks quietly and is reserved, but as we told her that we would like to feature her on each item she produced, her face lit up and was very excited to be part of the project.

Pak Dodo
Pak Dodo

Adhimiharja knows him since he was a kid. He has made many clothes for Adhimiharja’s mom and also for himself. He is still active in tailoring clothes for his loyal customers. However, this soft-spoken man would turn down an order if the design seems to be complicated for him to make. So, let’s be simple and basic.

Pak Suroto

Pak Suroto is a tailor and owns a sewing studio. He manages the activity in the studio and dedicates his talent in pattern making & cutting the materials to sew. There are at least 4 seamsters working in his studio.

Pak Jaery
Pak Jaery

He takes his sewing order at his home studio. He is quite knowledgeble about sewing techniques and materials. We are very lucky to have him doing our non-basic design and fabrics.

Kang Roy
Kang Roy

Producing T-shirt was not on his list, as he used to produce woven items. As we approached him with an idea to produce organic cotton t-shirt, he was eager to do it. It is something new to learn.

Apparently, Covid-19 also bring new opportunity for him after loosing many order from his previous clients.

A friendly, funny, and smart woman. Owner of a design studio facility that can translate any creative idea into the nished product. You can nd her actively participate in the making process, among the materials, her team, her family and her cats. Yes... a lot of cats.

Wafi
Wafi

A diligent batik maker, who weaves his own fabric from his family-own cotton garden.

Wafi's works are mostly using old traditional motives, which has been around for centuries, and he works for weeks to complete one piece of Kain batik. His Kain Batik is hand painted. yes, every dot, every line and every color !
